Ansel Adams
Each month, I post the picture which best represents what I felt, discovered or what that month evoked to me.
Art Statement
I never knew how to draw. Photography is a way for me to convey my thoughts and feeling by "drawing", "painting" with light, work with it and compose the image. Which only makes it more noble as an art.
I do this art so I can share what inspires me, moves me, in order to provoke inspiration in others or get people in a state of consciousness that goes beyond the beauty of the picture. No need to ask ourselves questions at first, we just get transported into the story of the photograph.
Much more than a passion, it's a way of thinking and viewing the world that surrounds us with a childlike vision to keep curiosity at its peak for new discoveries. Which leads to amazement and awe.
My main inspiration comes from melancholia as it is something very powerful and deep. As well as capturing simple moments that will impact us the same way we see a loved one again after several years. Geometry plays a great role too, when we stop to think about it beauty is purely geometric.
Finding all this in solitude, using introspection, giving myself some space to get in the creative state. It sums up my style, and yes you can find solitude in crowds, who knew. As well as the purity of nature itself which represents a big part of my personal core as a place to revitalize myself.
Walking around with a camera opens the mindflow, becoming a sensor to be aware of the pictures waiting to be taken out there. I apply taoism guidelines to the way I photograph. Especially to overcome unknown issues or limitations.
My main goal is to show people, through my art, that there is something bigger underlying our common lives and routines. Remind them to take time and look around to appreciate the beauty of the world. See the extraordinary in the ordinary. That's what good photography is all about.
My style overall goes towards what you can call a pure approach. Putting aside excessive editing and effects. Exactly as we can see in other fields like cooking for example. It's a general trend. Going back to the basics, giving value to the raw product and always go beyond the common vision, always pushing to the limits.
Enjoy !
